Raven Thompson's shocking book The Coming Corporate State (1938) where he sets out in clear and precise terms the economic infrastructure that would be put in place once power was given by the British people to British Union of Fascists in 1930's. Unlike National Socialist Germany which remained essentially capitalist, the British Socialism of British Union would transfer ownership of all industrial and commercial organisations above a certain size to one of eighteen Corporations covering every business activity. Little is known today about this British attempt to convert their country to fascism where control of just about every facet of life would be handed down to a handful of all-powerful corporations. History has recorded many attempts of clever manipulators who were somehow able to convince the naive people that handing all their power, wealth and control to just a handful of people/corporations would bring endless prosperity for everyone but instead always resulted in terrible tyranny. It it interesting to note that today most people associate fascism with Italian fascism or German nazism but never with British or even American versions of their highly monopolized economies. Also it is even more interesting that many points of the British fascist program have actually been silently realized not only in Britain but also in America. 35 pages. A must read for everyone.
