Graham Hancock is the author of the major international bestsellers "The Sign and The Seal", "Fingerprints of the Gods" and "Heaven's Mirror". His books have sold more than five million copies worldwide and have been translated into 27 languages. His public lectures and TV appearances, including the three-hour series Quest For The Lost Civilization, have put his ideas before audiences of tens of millions. He has become recognized as an unconventional thinker who raises legitimate questions about humanity's history and prehistory and offers an increasingly popular challenge to the entrenched views of orthodox scholars.
Graham Hancock discussed how humanity received a jump start some 40,000 years ago, with evidence pointing to immaculately precise building techniques used in Egypt, South America, Central America and other locations world-wide. It is interesting said Hancock, that there exists an ancient map depicting the coastline of Antarctica yet the last time the continent was ice-free was over 14,000 years ago.
Interestingly, none of these great civilizations had any direct contact with one another, yet all describe their own past in excruciatingly similar ways - that humankind is destroyed in a cyclical manner only to revive itself once again. This process takes thousands of years, but inevitably humans reach a level of understanding of science and history to once again decipher its own past.
