. THE BOOK ON THE TABOO AGAINST KNOWING WHO YOU ARE - Alan Watts

1966

This book explores an unrecognized but mighty taboo--our tacit

conspiracy to ignore who, or what, we really are. Briefly, the

thesis is that the prevalent sensation of oneself as a separate ego

enclosed in a bag of skin is a hallucination which accords neither

with Western science nor with the experimental philosophy religions

of the East--in particular the central and germinal Vedanta

philosophy of Hinduism. This hallucination underlies the misuse of

technology for the violent subjugation of man's natural environment

and, consequently, its eventual destruction.
We are therefore in urgent need of a sense of our own

existence which is in accord with the physical facts and which

overcomes our feeling of alienation from the universe. For this

purpose I have drawn on the insights of Vedanta, stating them,

however, in a completely modern and Western style--so that this

volume makes no attempt to be a textbook on or introduction to

Vedanta in the ordinary sense. It is rather a cross-fertilization

of Western science with an Eastern intuition.

4. Masonic - Occultic Numerology - by Duke

Their numbers are: 3, 7, 11, 13, and Multiples of them
3 x 7 = 21, 3 x 11 = 33, 3 x 13 = 39, 7 x 11 = 77, 7 x 13 = 91
and 93 is out of Black Magik or a Dark form of the occult. They
also use 19.5 sometimes. That is half of 39
They especially like their 7's 11's and 33's.
The 33 degrees of Masonry of which the 33rd
degree praises Lucifer. I should know, my
Grandfather was a 33rd degree Mason. It IS
A RELIGION! He died when I was a year and
a half and I was left with all of his masonic
literature and books. Your not suppose to
have access to this material. "The initiates
into masonry shall be decease. They think
hey know what they are being taught, but they don't really
know what they are being taught. Only the princes of masonry
shall know the true knowledge.

5. The Enochian Calls

The magic incantations used by John Dee and Edward Kelley in the

sixteenth century to invoke "angels" or elementary spirits. The

Enochian language, in which the calls were spoken, has a consistent

grammar and syntax and curiously impressive sound values.

There are 19 Enochian calls or keys. The first two conjure spirits;

the next 16 the elements earth, fire, air, water; the nineteenth

any of the "30 Aethyrys." The calls were supposed to have been

dictated backward to Kelley, as direct communication from the

"angels" would have invoked forces that were too powerful.

In 1912 magician Aleister Crowley, in the company of Victor

Neuburg, worked a series of magic operations using the Enochian

calls. During the midst of these Crowley discovered the principles

of what he would later develop into a system of sex magic. He

recorded his work in a lengthy article originally published in his

journal Equinox and later published a separate book The Vision and

the Voice. The writings of Crowley made Enochian magic widely known

to twentieth-century magicians, several of whom have developed it

as a variation of modern ceremonial magic

7. Time and The Technosphere - José Argüelles 2002

José Argüelles' timely work Time and the Technosphere makes a

vital contribution to the great paradigm shift in human cultures

that is now accelerating. There is a higher dimension of natural

time inscribed in the cosmos and a natural calendar that would help

humanity mature into the awakening global consciousness that is now

essential for future sustainability and well being. This book is an

important contribution to the awakening event that is now emerging

on a planetary scale.

10. Bruce Lee's Fighting Method

This book was in the making in 1966 and most of the photographs

were shot then. The
late Bruce Lee intended to publish this book years ago but decided

against it when he
learned that martial arts instructors were using his name to

promote themselves. It
was quite common to hear comments like: "I taught Bruce Lee" or

"Bruce Lee taught
me jeet kune do." And Bruce may never have seen or known these

martial artists.

Bruce didn't want people to use his name to promote themselves or

their schools with
false pretenses. He didn't want them to attract students this way,

especially the young
teens.

But after his death, his widow, Linda, felt that Bruce had

contributed so much in the
world of the martial arts that it would be a great loss if the

knowledge of Bruce would
die with him. Although the book can never replace the actual

teaching and knowledge
that Bruce Lee possessed, it will enhance you, the serious martial

artist, in developing
your skill in fighting.

Bruce always belived that all martial artists train diligently for

one single purpose -
defend themselves. Whether we are in judo, karate, aikido, kung fu,

etcetera, our
ultimate goal is to prepare ourselves for any situation.

13. Hand Combat and Pressure Points

This file will teach you how you can kill another person with your

own two hands. The information
presented here will be very helpful to the beginner and will also

serve as a refresher for those of
you already familiar with the subject.
I will start off by talking about basic things such as stance, what

you should and shouldn’t do when
fighting and other information that the beginner will need to know.

Then, I will give you a list of
over 20 vulnerable points that one should always try attacking in a

fight along with the way these
points should be attacked. Finally, I will give you some more

fighting tips and information on how
you can continue learning about hand-to-hand combat.

14. THE MASTER CLEANSE - Stanley Burroughs

A MESSAGE FROM SUPERNATURAL ALTERNATIVES LTD: The following

internal master cleansing
protocol (as provided by Stanley Burroughs) has been used most

effectively by thousands of individuals
wishing to rid their bodies of dangerous and even lethal toxins.

It has been found most useful and effective by the management of

SuperNatural as an adjunct to the
commencement of a supplementation program with Spectra 12®.

Individuals may find it most advantageous to pursue this cleanse

prior to commencing a daily regimen of
Spectra 12®,
followed by subsequent cleanses every 4 to 6 months.

15. Third Eye Activation and basic usage - by René K. Müller 1995

We are truely spirits, who occupy physical bodies to participate in

physical reality: without our bodies we couldn't be a part of it.

We can consider the physical body as a vehicle, or using a modern

word, a craft.

Most spirits forget that they are truely spirits, spiritual beings.

But how? We get overwhelmed by a dimension we didn't experience

before, we even didn't know what time or space is, because as

spirits we didn't experience such a limiting reality as here.

That's what the call was we heared, and many couldn't reject its

challenge. We entered by many adjustments, called dimensional

doors, until we were able to enter a human-body. What we call

taking birth, is a long prepared-for procedure. We finally enter

and accept the body, when we take birth. But then as babies we are

in a period of time where we leave and enter easily, as our vehicle

is new for us and we aren't yet so identified and addicted to it.

Growing up means the spirit learns to use the vehicle, we learn to

walk, even speak and behave in social conformity. This learning

pulls our attention to the physical senses, so better we learn to

interpret the signals, and better we operate with our physical body

here.

We as spiritual beings naturally see, it's part of our nature.

Seeing through eyes, which means looking through two holes, but

which serves us with many fancy signals from a colorful toy, even

TV or even WWW such as here. We can refocus our inner eye away from

the physical eyes. This is called activation of third-eye, in a

passive observing way.

Some of you maybe heard of or even experienced what is known as

Shape-Shifting or Mirror Gazing, looking at aspects of yourself.

This is one step of the usage of the third-eye.

16. The Science of Breath & the Philosophy of the Tatwas:

Translated from the Sanskrit with 15 Introductory & Explanatory

Essays on Nature’s Finer Forces - Rama Prasad 1890

A word of explanation is necessary with regard to the book now

offered to the public. In the 9th and 10th volumes of the

theosophist I wrote certain Essays on “Nature’s Finer Forces”. The

subject of these essays interested the readers of the Theosophist

so much that I was asked to issue the series of Essays in book

form. I found that in order to make a book they must be almost

entirely rearranged, and perhaps rewritten. I was, however, not

equal to the task of rewriting what I had once written. I therefore

determined to publish a translation of the book in Sanskrit on the

Science of the Breath and the Philosophy of the Tatwas. As,

however, without these Essays the book would have been quite

unintelligible, I decided to add them to the book by way of an

illustrative introduction. This accordingly has been done. The

Essays in the theosophist have been reprinted with certain

additions, modifications, and corrections. Besides, I have written

seven more Essays in order to make the explanations more complete

and authoritative. Thus there are altogether 15 introductory and

explanatory Essays.

I was confirmed in this course by one more consideration. The book

contains a good deal more than the essays touched upon, and I

thought it better to lay all of it before the public.

The book is sure to throw a good deal of light upon the scientific

researches of the ancient Aryans of India, and it will leave no

doubt in a candid mind that the religion of ancient India had a

scientific basis. It is chiefly for this reason that I have drawn

my illustrations of the Tatwic Law from the Upanishads.

There is a good deal in the book that can only be shown to be true

by long and diligent experiment. Those who are devoted to the

pursuit of truth without prejudice will no doubt be ready to wait

before they form any opinion about such portions of the book.

Others it is useless to reason with.

To the former class of students I have to say one word more. From

my own experience I can tell them that the more they study the

book, the more wisdom they are sure to find in it, and let me hope

that ere long I shall have a goodly number of colleagues, who will

with me try their best to explain and illustrate the book still

better, and more thoroughly.

17. Food Of The Gods - Terence Mckenna

A MANIFESTO FOR NEW THOUGHT ABOUT DRUGS
A specter is haunting planetary culture-the specter of drugs. The

definition of human dignity
created by the Renaissance and elaborated into the democratic

values of modern Western
civilization seems on the point of dissolving. The major media

inform us at high volume that
the human capacity for obsessional behavior and addiction has made

a satanic marriage with
modern pharmacology, marketing, and high-speed transportation.

Previously obscure forms of
chemical use now freely compete in a largely unregulated global

marketplace. Whole
governments and nations in the Third World are held in thrall by

legal and illegal commodities
promoting obsessional behavior.
This situation is not new, but it is getting worse. Until quite

recently international narcotics
cartels were the obedient creations of governments and intelligence

agencies that were
searching for sources of "invisible" money with which to finance

their own brand of
institutionalized obsessional behavior.' Today, these drug cartels

have evolved, through the
unprecedented rise in the demand for cocaine, into rogue elephants

before whose power even
their creators have begun to grow uneasy.'
We are beset by the sad spectacle of "drug wars" waged by

governmental institutions that
usually are paralyzed by lethargy and inefficiency or are in

transparent collusion with the
international drug cartels they are publicly pledged to destroy.
No light can penetrate this situation of pandemic drug use and

abuse unless we undertake a
hard-eyed reappraisal of our present situation and an examination

of some old, nearly
forgotten, patterns of drug-related experience and behavior. The

importance of this task cannot
be overestimated. Clearly the self-administration of psychoactive

substances, legal and illegal,
will be increasingly a part of the future unfolding of global

culture.

18. The MIT Encyclopedia of the Cognitive Sciences - Robert Anton

Wilson & Frank C. Keil 1999

The MIT Encyclopedia of the Cognitive Sciences (MITECS to its

friends) has been
four years in the making from conception to publication. It

consists of 471 concise
articles, nearly all of which include useful lists of references

and further readings, pre-
ceded by six longer introductory essays written by the volume’s

advisory editors. We
see MITECS as being of use to students and scholars across the

various disciplines
that contribute to the cognitive sciences, including psychology,

neuroscience, linguis-
tics, philosophy, anthropology and the social sciences more

generally, evolutionary
biology, education, computer science, artificial intelligence, and

ethology.
Although we prefer to let the volume speak largely for itself, it

may help to provide
some brief details about the aims and development of the project.

One of the chief
motivations for this undertaking was the sense that, despite a

number of excellent
works that overlapped with the ambit of cognitive science as it was

traditionally con-
ceived, there was no single work that adequately represented the

full range of con-
cepts, methods, and results derived and deployed in cognitive

science over the last
twenty-five years.
Second, each of the various cognitive sciences differs in its focus

and orientation;
in addition, these have changed over time and will continue to do

so in the future. We
see MITECS as aiming to represent the scope of this diversity, and

as conveying a
sense of both the history and future of the cognitive sciences.
Finally, we wanted, through discussions with authors and as a

result of editorial
review, to highlight links across the various cognitive sciences so

that readers from
one discipline might gain a greater insight into relevant work in

other fields. MITECS
represents far more than an alphabetic list of topics in the

cognitive sciences; it cap-
tures a good deal of the structure of the whole enterprise at this

point in time, the ways
in which ideas are linked together across topics and disciplines,

as well as the ways in
which authors from very different disciplines converge and diverge

in their
approaches to very similar topics. As one looks through the

encyclopedia as a whole,
one takes a journey through a rich and multidimensional landscape

of interconnected
ideas. Categorization is rarely just that, especially in the

sciences. Ideas and patterns
are related to one another, and the grounds for categorizations are

often embedded in
complex theoretical and empirical patterns. MITECS illustrates the

richness and intri-
cacy of this process and the immense value of cognitive science

approaches to many
questions about the mind.

19. Prometheus Rising - Robert Anton Wilson 1983

Imagine trying to make sense of an amalgam of Timothy Leary's eight

neurological circuits, G.I. Gurdjieff's self-observation exercises,

Alfred Korzybskis general semantics, Aleister Crowley's magical

theorems, and the several disciplines of Yoga; not to mention

Christian Science, relativity, quantum mechanics, and many other

approaches to understanding the world around us! That is exactly

what Robert Anton Wilson does in Prometheus Rising. In short, this

is a book about how the human mind works and what you can do to

make the most of yours.

21. NLP WorkBook: A Practical Guide to Achieving the Results You

Want - Joseph O'Connor 2001

Joseph Oconnor is brilliant. His writing is clear, he gets across

the ideas and basic absolute fundamental essentials of NLP that

many other books take too long or use too complex descriptions are

simply aren't clear. Oconnor's writing, and complete understanding

of NLP for that matter, is so incredibly well communicated. If NLP

is the deep structure to become communicated to the reader through

the surface structure of the book, Oconnor uses no generalizations,

deletions, nor distortions! Finally a clear NLP book that's fairly

advanced. 'Disclaimer": I'm "fairly" new -- 3 years into - to NLP

and have been trying to connect with the "Fathers" of it --

bandler, grinder, and a bunch of other gurus, and I got bits and

pieces from all those works, but oconnor seems to neatly tie it all

together with tremendously lucid writing.

22. Programming and Metaprogramming in THE HUMAN BIOCOMPUTER - JOHN

C. LILLY, M. D. 1972

All human beings, all persons who reach adulthood in the world

today are programmed
biocomputers. None of us can escape our own nature as programmable

entities. Literally,
each of us may be our programs, nothing more, nothing less.
Despite the great varieties of programs available, most of us have

a limited set of
programs. Some of these are built in. In the simpler forms of life

the programs were
mostly built in from genetic codes to fully formed adultly

reproducing organisms. The
patterns of function, of actionreaction were determined by

necessities of survival, of
adaptation to slow environmental changes and of passing on the code

to descendants.
Eventually the cerebral cortex appeared as an expanding new

highlevel computer
controlling the structurally lower levels of the nervous system,

the lower builtin
programs. For the first time learning and its faster adaptation to

a rapidly changing
environment began to appear. Further, as this new cortex expanded

over several millions
of years, a critical size cortex was reached. At this level of

structure, a new capability
emerged: learning to learn.

23. Exceed International NLP: Psychic Seduction - Jim Esparza

Containing highly controversial techniques of psychic seduction,

this book merely serves as a
tool to promulgate hidden knowledge as a form of entertainment. In

no way does the author
endorse the use of these techniques to bend the will of others. You

the reader, are advised to
exercise necessary discretion and to consult your personal code of

ethics. Ponder this well.
At the end of this manual, you will have mastered arcane wisdom

which allows you to arouse
feelings of attraction. Inciting infatuation in the minds of others

will come easily. This is no
power to be taken lightly. Use it wisely.

The magic of mental seduction and control. It is the ultimate

power. Envision
yourself stepping into a room exuding tremendous charisma. Feel

yourself bathing
in the stares of many admiring, fawning eyes. What would you give

to wield such
power?

Notice how some people “just seem to have it?” And strangely, many

of them are
average looking. Their manner of dress may be nondescript.

Physically, they have unremarkable
features. But somehow… an aura of appeal, charm, dominant sexuality

emanates and draws
others like flies to a honey pot. These men and women are naturally

endowed with mental
powers that subconsciously draw others to them. But don’t despair

that you’re missing out on the
fun.
The techniques and instructions that you are about to learn in this

book will unleash that power!
The idea that you have the power within you to change your reality

is not implausible. It’s been
done it for ages. So why haven’t you learned or heard about these

techniques before? Well, there
is a gamut of possible reasons why this valuable type of knowledge

has slipped from your hands.
Some reasons might involve the secrecy of occult cults, atrociously

priced courses and lectures,
and systems shrouded in religions. Mind power skills, sadly, have

largely been underdeveloped
for the aforementioned reasons. Mostly, however, it is because

mystical knowledge is considered
passé in this day and age.

24. Re-Modelling NLP Parts 1-5 - John McWhirter 1998

“The purpose of the model is to enable the user to do a better job

in handling the enormous complexities of life. By using models, we

see and test how things work and can even predict how things will

go in the future. The effectiveness of a model can be judged by how

well it works, as well as how consistent it is as a mechanical or

philosophical system. People are very closely identified with their

models, since they also form the basis for behaviour. Men have

fought and died in the name of different models of nature”.

25. Essential Skills Seminar Notes - Jim Esparza 1999

26. NLP: THE Sleep,Wake,Back to Bed METHOD

First, I want to say that I've been using this method for quite

a while, and it's been showing some AMAZING results. I think it's

the easiest approach and has shown the best, most consistent

results, and I've been trying them ALL for the last 2 years or so.

It is far easier to induce out of body experiences while in a lucid

dreamstate, and this method works well whether you are inducing

lucid dreams or out of body experiences. By using this method I

have around a 60% chance of successfully inducing a lucid dream or

an OBE whenever I make the time to use it.
So needless to say, I'm awestruck with the dramatic increase

and attribute it to this technique which I'm going to pass along to

anyone who hasn't heard of it. It's been mentioned a lot before and

it is actually alluded to in the MILD technique by Stephen LaBerge

and some people refer to it as the "napping" technique, but I think

"napping" is too general a term for the process.

28. A Short Guide About Hallucinogenic Drugs For the Explorers of

Inner Space - Donald J. DeGracia 1998

There are a variety of tools available to anyone interested in

exploring altered states of consciousness. Such tools include

meditation, out-of-body experiences, brain and biofeedback

instruments, occult type rituals, visualization exercises, and also

in this category are hallucinogenic drugs. Each of these tools

provides a different doorway into the inner spaces of our

subjectivity and consciousness. In this article, I would like to

provide a brief overview of hallucinogenic drugs as one means among

many for achieving altered states of consciousness. It is not my

intention here to debate whether it is right or not to use

hallucinogenic drugs, whatever is ones motive, though I will

discuss the variety of opinions that exist in this regard. My

purpose here is twofold: 1. to give a broad overview of

hallucinogenic drugs in general, and 2. to show how hallucinogenics

can provide, if used reasonably and responsibly, a valuable and

substantial tool for exploring inner spaces.

29. Drug Testing Frequently Asked Questions

30. Fema - The US Shadow Government - Charles Loefke

Few Americans, indeed, few Congressional reps, are aware of the
existence of Mount Weather, a mysterious underground military base

carved
deep inside a mountain near the sleepy rural town of Bluemont,

Virginia, just 46
miles from Washington, D.C. Mount Weather--also known as the

Western
Virginia Office of Controlled Conflict Operations--is buried not

just in hard granite,
but in secrecy as well.
In March, 1976, The Progressive Magazine published an astonishing
article entitled “The Mysterious Mountain.” The author, Richard

Pollock, based
his investigative report on Senate subcommittee hearings and upon

“several off-
the-record interviews with officials formerly associated with Mount

Weather.” His
report, and a 1991 article in Time Magazine entitled “Doomsday

Hideaway”,
supply a few compelling hints about what is going on underground.

31. HOW TO STING THE POLYGRAPH - doug williams

My name is Douglas Gene Williams, and I plead guilty to crimes

against humanity.
I was a right-wing terrorist, I tortured thousands of people,

documented more forced
confessions than most Gestapo Agents, violated countless

constitutional rights, and
had absolutely no regard for human dignity. I was often rewarded

for my skillful use
of terrorism - there are some truly grim stories behind those

official letters of
commendation I earned as a police detective sergeant. I was a

highly trained, well
equipped, terrorist agent. My specialty was psychological trauma,

and my weapon
was the “lie detector”.
You have a right to know a little about me before you invest any

more of your time,
so let me tell you right up front, I’m crazy. Friends and enemies

alike agree with my
self-diagnosis, they differ only as to the cause of my obvious

malady. Some say I
was crazy to quit the cops after almost ten years’ service, and

they have a point
because I did spend a lot of time and energy preparing for a

career only to abandon
it when I reached the prime earning years. Others will tell you I

cracked under the
strain of a guilty conscience, that I went over the edge running

from the ghosts of
my many victims, and there is some truth to that because I do feel

guilty about
what I did. The way I see it, I lost it when I decided to make

restitution for my sins,
but I’m from the buckle on the Bible Belt, and out here we are

taught that if we sin,
we must confess and make restitution before we can expect

exoneration - this
restitution business is what’s driving me nuts.

36. Pay no Fine - A User Guide to Successfully Fighting Traffic

Tickets

Welcome to PAYNOFINE’S User Guide to Successfully Fighting Traffic

Tickets.
Since you are reading this, it can be presumed that you are one of

the approxi-
mately 35 million people who received a traffic ticket this year.

That actually
breaks down to about 100,000 tickets a day! Our hope is that you

will be one of
the small and silent minority who successfully fight the system

each year.
Government studies are fond of citing that 97% of all traffic

tickets are success-
fully prosecuted. What this same research doesn’t want you to know

is that 95%
of all these traffic tickets are not contested. Of the five percent

that are actually
contested, one half are dismissed. The remaining half usually

enjoyed reduced
fines or other plea bargain arrangements that were less than the

original mail in
fine amount. To understand the system you first have to examine the

economics
of the machine.
The most important part of the traffic ticket money making machine

is to keep
the fines at a generally tolerable level. The average speeding

ticket cost is some-
where between $75 - $150. A quick calculation can show you that

even a ten
minute trial will eat the total fine in overall costs for

courthouse time when you
take into account the Judge, prosecutor, police office, court

clerk, court reporter,
etc. Therefore, it is imperative that the system make you feel like

you have an
impossible journey ahead of you. To put this economic formula in

perspective,
the City of Chicago reaps over $100 million annually from traffic

ticket fines. Los
Angeles amasses over $150 million and New York wins the race with

over $350
million a year! These amounts do not even include the additional

increases in
auto insurance premiums that most speeders will enjoy for the next

three years
after their conviction.

37. THE NEW ENCYCLOPEDIA OF UNBELIEF (EXCERPT) - Tom Flynn 2007

Successor to the highly acclaimed Encyclopedia of Unbelief (1985),

edited by the late Gordon Stein, the New Encyclopedia of Unbelief

is a comprehensive reference work on the history, beliefs, and

thinking of America’s fastest growing minority: those who live

without religion. All-new articles by the field’s foremost scholars

describe and explain every aspect of atheism, agnosticism, secular

humanism, secularism, and religious skepticism. Topics include

morality without religion, unbelief in the historicity of Jesus,

critiques of intelligent design theory, unbelief and sexual values,

and summaries of the state of unbelief around the world. More than

130 respected scholars and activists worldwide served on the

editorial advisory board and over 100 authoritative contributors

have written in excess of 500 entries.

In addition to covering developments since the publication of the

original edition, the New Encyclopedia of Unbelief includes a

larger number of biographical entries and much-expanded coverage of

the linkages between unbelief and social reform movements of the

19th and 20th centuries, including the labor movement, woman

suffrage, anarchism, sex radicalism, and second-wave feminism.

The distinguished contributors—philosophers, scientists, scholars,

and Nobel Prize laureates—include Robert Alley, Joe Barnhart, David

Berman, Sir Hermann Bondi, Vern L. Bullough, Noam Chomsky, Daniel

Dennett, Paul Edwards, Barbara Ehrenreich, Antony Flew, Annie

Laurie Gaylor, Peter Hare, Van Harvey, Susan Jacoby, Paul Kurtz,

Richard Leakey, Gerd Lüdemann, Michael Martin, Martin E. Marty, Kai

Nielsen, Steven Pinker, Robert M. Price, Richard Rorty, John R.

Searle, Peter Singer, Ibn Warraq, Steven Weinberg, George A. Wells,

David Tribe, Sherwin Wine, and many others.

38. Icons of Unbelief: Atheists, Agnostics, and Secularists - S.T

Joshi 2008

In the opinion of many critics and philosophers, we are entering an

age of atheism marked by the waning of Christian fundamentalism and

the flourishing of secular thought. Through alphabetically arranged

entries written by expert contributors, this book profiles 27

iconic figures of unbelief whose ideas have shaped American society

over the last 200 years. Included are entries on influential

figures of the past, such as Albert Einstein and Voltaire, as well

as on such contemporary figures as Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris.

Each entry discusses the ideas and lasting significance of each

person or group, provides sidebars of interesting information and

illuminating quotations, and cites works for further reading. The

volume closes with a selected, general bibliography. Students in

social studies and history classes will welcome this reference as a

guide to the ideas central to the American separation of Church and

State and to many of the political debates at the heart of society

today.

40. Memetic Magic - Kirk Packwood

This phenomenal work possesses the very real possibility of being

hailed as one of the most profound underground books on the magical

arts ever written. Never before has the occult nature of society,

the Root Social Matrix, been discussed. In addition, the paradigm-

shattering claim is made that this book contains the foundational

framework underlying a thorough comprehension of the means by which

the very fabric of reality can be manipulated through simple

artistic techniques based on memetic symbology.
The ancient wisdom of the pagan sorcerers is combined with modern

scientific social theory by a cultural anthropologist, resulting in

a new age of magic where reality itself becomes mutable.

41. Between the Gates: Lucid Dreaming, Astral Projection, and the

Body of Light in Western Esotericism - Mark Stavish

An A to Z guide to evolved states of consciousness.

Between the Gates is a manual of self-initiation and liberation

that takes the student through the basic methods of experiencing

dream states and conscious astral projection, to the ultimate

culmination of consciousness-- creation of the Body of Light.

Between the Gates is for anyone who has ever desired to experience

the "afterlife" while still alive, or who has desired to rid

themselves of the fear of death. While drawing upon traditional

43. The Nag Hammadi Library - James M. Robinson

The Nag Hammadi Library was discovered in 1945 buried in a large

stone jar in the desert outside the modern Egyptian city of Nag

Hammadi. It is a collection of religious and philosophic texts

gathered and translated into Coptic by fourth-century Gnostic

Christians and translated into English by dozens of highly

reputable experts. First published in 1978, this is the revised

1988 edition supported by illuminating introductions to each

document. The library itself is a diverse collection of texts that

the Gnostics considered to be related to their heretical philosophy

in some way. There are 45 separate titles, including a Coptic

translation from the Greek of two well-known works: the Gospel of

Thomas, attributed to Jesus' brother Judas, and Plato's Republic.

The word gnosis is defined as "the immediate knowledge of spiritual

truth." This doomed radical sect believed in being here now--

withdrawing from the contamination of society and materiality--and

that heaven is an internal state, not some place above the clouds.

That this collection has resurfaced at this historical juncture is

more than likely no coincidence. --P. Randall Cohan
