Gold closed at $1244 Silver 18.72 a ounce. Speculation on how high Gold can go...$10,000 a ounce was mentioned.

In 2002 Bernanke said U.S. Govt has a printing press that can print money at no cost. Yet a week ago he could not explain the increase in Gold.

Gold hysteria has hit Australia hard, precious metal sales there are at a record level. Consumers are fearful to go into riskier assets.

Since 2006 the Fed has eliminated reporting of its money supply. The U.S. is the only country to do so. Friday, the first quarter GDP will be released.

High powered money and reserves held at the FED has skyrocketed to 262% since Bernanke started at the FED. These are figures from the FED's own web site.

Instead of using the term "Printing money" the FED used a term call "Quantitative Easing". Ben bought 1.5 trillion dollars in toxic assets and took it off the banks balance sheets. This is how the Fed preventing the banking collapse in 2008.
The banking problems have not been fixed.

Rest assured we will see policy tools implemented which will encompass the outright printing and outright distribution of money. This will lead to hyperinflation.
